I'm looking to buy a new chef's knife. does anyone have a suggestion or personal preference? i dont want to spend to much money but if its going to last me for 10 years im not above spending a few bills.
Eric - get your ass off to a knife shop and test for yourself.
Who cares what others use. Its going to be your tool for a long time.
My fav knife is a heavy little santoku I picked up for $8 and use it ahead of several $90 + knives all the time.
