Good afternoon everyone...I miss all the Windy City Chefs. I just graduated in October with my Associates and now I am in Madison, Wisconsin. I love the food scene here and the whole local season food concept. I have been searching the area for a Chef that is willing to pass knowledge. If anyone has any leads of Chefs or restaurants in this area please let me know. I wish you all the best and am looking forward to continuing my career, while doing Chicago proud. Have a great day!

Executive Chef - Central Illinois - Opportunity of a Lifetime!

Become part of a start up for an upscale steak house. Our stable and well-capitalized client is looking for a very unique individual that can help build this concept from the ground up. This company offers outstanding starting salary and benefits along with some great perks. They are a stable, well funded, serious group of professionals who are very successful in their fields. They are looking for someone who can run this high volume kitchen and help them grow.

The Executive Chef is responsible for entire kitchen operations, training, quality, cost control, purchasing, and sanitation. Experience in high volume operations is required, and a culinary degree is preferred Candidates should have strong skills in culinary arts, superior communication skills, an eager drive to succeed, experience with systems-driven concepts and can build and direct a top quality team in the kitchen.

High volume steak house and/or independent restaurant experience is a huge plus. A mix of classical technique and high volume "white tablecloth" culinary is preferred.

Greetings to everyone from the Greater Kansas City Chefs Association. If you happen to be visiting the Kansas City area on September 27 have I got a perfect way to spend that evening. We are going to be having our Annual Dinner and Awards benefit. Great food from over 20 restaurants, clubs, hotels, catering companies etc., live entertainment, and we will be honoring our Apprentice of the Year, Chef of the Year and Vendor of the year.
