The ACF Windy City Professional Culinarians held their Annual BBQ yesterday, June 15, 2009. A new addition to the festivities was a Burger Throwdown between 6 different culinary programs in the Chicagoland Area. All of the teams did an outstanding job, but Technology Center of Dupage ran away with the People's Choice Award and the First Place traveling trophy with the "El Guero Burger".

Hello Everyone. I'm the President of the Greater Kansas City Junior Chefs. We are putting on a dinner April 16th at Johnson County Community College. It is a six course menu for a cost of 50 dollars. Hello all,

I am conducting a cooking competition for my company, ARAMARK Higher Education, next week in DeKalb at Northern Illinois U. I am trying to find a Chef that might be interested in judging the competition. I have several folks lined up but am really interested in finding a Certified Chef that can add a strong culinary perspective. The competition is a two day affair being held next Tuesday and Wednesday. Judging will be in the afternoon of each day.

If anyone is interested please email me and we can go over the details to see if it will work.

I want to say it was a pleasure to meet so many wonderfull people this past weekend. I enjoyed the friendships, the fabulous food and service. Thank you Chef Russell for hosting us! Good luck Chef Aielo in the Election for President! I look forward to my next conference in the future!!

I just wanted to say congratulations to all the nominees in the Central Region for the numerous awards and now its time for our Award winners to go out there and win at the National. As Chef Russell says about our region "Some of the best Chefs live here!!"

Just got back to Okahoma from Chicago Convention....Great Job Guys and Girls....Graduation for my Associates this Saturday so I'm pretty jazzed....
