I got launched off the USS Kitty Hawk in "07" and went to the Naval airbase at Atsuigi, Japan. Had a GREAT time !!

I got launched off on July 5th, 1986 from the USS Forrestal CV 59. We were about 10 miles from what they called the line of death that Libya or should I say Kahdafi put in place.

Mark...I've had several helo rides off L-Decks, but am still waiting for a COD shot, or even better.

Michael,
I was stationed onboard a Carrier and when I transferred off I did get launched off, but it was on a COD (mailplane). Even though it was a prop (fixed wing)we were still shot of the deck using a catapult.

Hello Chefs and hello Michael.
I am just dying to take another ride with the USN. My wife has got me on a short leash right now, but I am fighting it. Won't be long she will have to let go!!

Another trip to Japan would be too fun! If I close my eyes and try real hard, I can taste the ocean on my lips.

Living in Manchester Tennessee has it's advantages. BONNAROO "Best music festival on earth". 3 of the Boys from the DDG-62 USS Fitzgerald that I rode with in from Okinawa to Yokohama, came to visit this summer for music and fun. It was great to see them and remember the fun on board. Like getting to shoot the 50cal. WOW!!

My Toque is off to everyone who has participated in the adopt and ship program. No I have not done it as of yet, but I plan on it. I was in the Navy when the cooks were classified as MS's and not CS's, but that doesn't matter. I know that the cooks make the Navy run and when you are out to sea for extended cruises the only thing the crew has to look forward to is some great food. Again thank you all very much.
