I am pleased to offer this as a free discussion and tasting for students and professionals alike. It's a unique opportunity!
There will be chocolate for sale at the end of the event.
Ooooh, yum! Thanks for the invite Chef Brown. Is there a cost to the discussion? I'll be in Little Rock until Friday morning. I'm going to try to make it there in time. Thanks again.
I am currently enrolled in the culinary program at El Centro Community College in Dallas, Texas. After receiving my degree I hope to pursue a career as a personal chef, where I plan to create a specific niche within that field that I believe is needed.
I currently am serving as Student/Junior Director for the Texas Chefs Association - Dallas Chapter. If you have any questions about becoming a member of this organization, please feel free to contact me.
I also serve as liaison for the Texas Chefs Association to the Culinary Students Association at El Centro College.
In Febuary 2009, myself and 4 other teammates from El Centro competed in the Baron H. Galand Culinary Knowledge Bowl held at the 2009 ACF Central Regional Conference. We came in 2nd place and earned silver medals. It was a great experience and I enjoyed the competition immensely.

If you could have dinner with any three people who would it be and why?
My father, simply because he died when I was so young. I would love to be able to share one more meal with him.
John Lennon, to break bread with him would be awesome. I would be curious to see what he thought of the way the world is today.
Ina Garten, who I think has impeccable entertaining style. I would welcome her comments and insight on how to throw a party that is elegant, yet casual. She has a knack for that.
I wasn't able to make it to the meeting today and was wondering what went on. I still have the forum for the chili cook off. We are going to have another meeting on 18th of this month to decide on a protein. I will then be able to give you the forum after that meeting
Hey Dawn- Can you please let me know the next time you have a meeting about the Chili Cookoff? I signed up to help at the May meeting and then I never heard about any meetings or updates until the last meeting at LCB. I really want to help and I think after being director for the Dallas Sicilian Festival of Dallas for the past 6 years I can bring a lot to the table. Let me know what I can do to help! Thanks!
Hi Dawn, I am excited to hear the next meeting will happen at my school. I am spreading the word around hoping to get maximum participation. Please don't forget to send notice to everyone about next meeting. JTCA meeting June 2, 2 PM Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts Dallas located at the SE corner of Webb Chapel and 635. See you there. See everyone there.
Was wondering if there was anything new that happened at the junior meeting today. Couldn't make it to the meeting because of class. Hope to be at the next meeting thou.
Hi Dawn,
It was great seeing you the other day at the school and I hope we get the ball rolling there. I have been talking to everyone I know and I hope to more than double the number of students that show.
I am a member of this club at my school called the Culinary Aficionados. Our goal there is to get everyone at our school involved and informed about the culinary field and networking opportunities, so the TCA is right up our alley. I am hoping the club can become our school POC for the Jr TCA and together we can unite our efforts on improving the program to benefit us all. I am excited and looking forward to the next meeting. See you soon!
I finally got those invites sent to those e-mail addresses you gave me from the last Tx Chef Meeting. If you have any updates feel free to post them on the Jr site.... it's looking a little bare. I haven't been able to vamp it up b/c I've had quite a bit on my plate recently but I hope to do it soon.
