Im 52 years old and starting Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas at the end of Sept 09. I have done many things in my life, raised two kids, owned businesses, married for 25 years. I have always had a passion for cooking and I am very excited about starting school. I don't know where this will bring me, but I am looking forward to the journey!

Hey Keith,
I have four days left, all skills testing and exit interview. I start my externship on November 10th, for six weeks. Then I am officially done. I can't wait for these next four days to go by. I am sharpening my knives tonight for theknife skills test on Monday.
Enjoy and Have fun with this, I did.
Gary
Thanks Keith. Yes it was in a way. I used to tech ata a technical college for 9 years. I taught carpentry but that ended in a layoff of state emplyees 12 years ago when they re-organized the college system. I am the oldest student in my class but we are a tight group. I respect them all and they respect the ole guy and sometimes they can't believe I can keep up with them, but I do!
Welcome Keith. IMy name is gary and I attend LCB in Minnesota. After 28 years in construction I am changing careers, also. At 55 yrs old, I thought I would be looking at retirement coming soon rather than writing papers, doing written and practical exams and writing papers about Provence France and caviar. Good Luck. I am sure you will do well. I currently carry a 3.89 GPA!
Later,
Gary
