About Me:

I started culinary school Spring semester 2008 at El Centro in downtown Dallas. Having volunteered for about a year at the Central Market cooking school I was convinced I had to attend and become certified. Once word got out that I was finally enrolling I had a few people follow my lead. I am joined in culinary school by my sister-Lauren, her roommate-Monique, our cousin-Katy and our aunt Maryanne. I don't think El Centro knew what to do with relatives that wanted to do the program together so it's been pretty interesting explaining our family history and ties the first day of class each new semester.

Growing up in a large Italian family we were always around food (and still are!) so we figured we'd follow our passion and love of the art and learn some new techniques along the way. Plus the other 60+ aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. can't complain because often at times we have them be our taste testers for anything made... no complaints yet! :)

I love to travel and have been privileged to go to a handful of countries which include studying in Spain for my undergrad minor. Some of my favorites have been many places in Italy (of course!), Spain, and Portugal, as well as stops in Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna.

I did see Chef Allison and her hubby and a bunch of students but most of the people I didn't know and it was soooo hot in there that we went outside to cool off and then my friend said she was HUNGRY!
