You're a 100% right. Its not just that its everything else that goes with it. Being out to sea and having to improvise how things are done because you are on water hours, or the equipment is down (ie scullery machine and you have to go to paper), or you're low on fresh fruit and veggies etc. The fact that you may have a dozen collateral duties as well as feeding the crew. Great to hear back from you.
Chef, very cool to see you served in the Navy and especially spending time in the Philippines. I was in myself and visited the Philippines and a couple of years ago we went back.
