Travis you wrote an excellent article in the November 2009 issue of the National Culinary Review magazine entitled "Saluting Military Certfied Chefs". Thanks for reminding the industry that Military Chefs have it going on. Devotion to our family, the country, are jobs and accomplishing certification in the profession we love and excel at.
Travis,
As far as the lead goes I don't really know one way or another. We both are doing fine and I am co-chairing the benefit tomorrow evening. We have 26 participating groups for the benefit. The school sounds awesome and being able to build it from the ground up sounds perfect. Anyway we were both just wondering how things were going and if I had not told you before, we miss having you as part of our chapter.

Hey chef! I think you wrote back in July and asked where I worked. I don't think I every wrote back. I took by practical in July right before school started for CEPC in Arkansas and passed with mile high flying colors sonow I have my certificate in hand. I teach for OKCPS schools at Centennial High School. I have a CTE program for Hospitality, Management, Culinary Arts and Science and Nutrition Wellness. I am also going to school full time at UCO. Things are great but very hectic!!!! TIme time time...I need some. How are you liking your new job and the great state of Oklahoma?
Travis,
I was there when you were talking to Sue. I drove out there just for a couple days to tour the school. I plan on taking the ProChef II test. It is in the same kitchen as the CMC test. It will be nice just to cook in that kitchen and get a feel for it. Hope to catch up with you before going to the CIA in October. Maybe I can get you on the golf course when you come visit Schoolcraft?
that sounds awesome, Although I can't see you in Oklahoma City, I picture you closer to VA.
The girls are all doing well, Carrie is working on her BA in Criminal Justice and has been working as a juvenile correctional officer for our county for the last two years. Two girls in high school now WTF! Volley ball and of course Choir/Arts. Our oldest is just about done with her driving permit, good thing you live out of town! I am two weeks into my BAS in business management with a concentration in Hospitality. When done with this I am going to start a MS in Healthcare Administration. I am enjoying the healthcare side of food service, it has opened many more doors than I ever had before. It remind me a lot of Army foodservice.
Hey there Chief, My first day of Pro Chef Level one Exam starts Monday. I am pretty comfortable with it. I hope your life is traveling the path you want.
